Ian played Rugby League at school in Salford before moving to Union with Bury RUFC and then Rossendale RUFC where he played over 300 First XV games and captained the side for 3 years in the 1980’s before going on to coach the 1st XV as the clubs first DOR. Ian set up a North West League to get our 2nd team regular league fixtures, this ran for 2 years before amalgamating the set up into the start of the present North West Leagues system.

Results

Both sides are responsible for sending in the results. Score must be checked with the referee. These must be supplied to Ian by Saturday 6.00pm at the very latest. This can be done by text, telephone or e-mail.

Postponed Games

Postponed games are normally re-arranged for the next available weekend by the Honorary Fixtures Secretary in collaboration with Ian. Re-scheduled fixtures will be shown here within a day or two of the postponement.

DO NOT assume you can simply re-schedule your own games when you have a postponement as there are knock on effects and other Teams' fixtures to consider. Any suggestions can however be discussed with Ian.

Managers should please notify Ian by eMail of any re-scheduled games or fixture switches / reversals which they spot have not been updated in the Fixture List.
